Recently, I felt so silly after learning about a technique I had been using for so long without knowing what it was called: dodging and burning. This technique involves lightening or darkening specific areas of an image to bring out details or to guide the
viewer's eyes to a particular spot. It gives your image depth and makes it pop.
It's a very old technique but still very effective.
