Photoshop is a veritable Swiss Army knife in the digital imaging world, in that it can do a lot of different imaging tasks, including working with 3D. In this episode of TheFIX, we talk with digital artist, author, and instructor Stephen Burns, who gives us an overview of some of the 3D capabilities in Photoshop. For photographers who are primarily interested in the "straight" image (for want of a better term), 3D may not hold much interest. But for photographers who are interested in creating composites from multiple images, 3D is potentially a very useful addition to your image making tool kit.
