For the past 10 years, Fuuko has been afflicted by a condition that brings extreme misfortune to anyone who touches her. This has had a drastic effect on her surroundings, even inadvertently resulting in the deaths of those around her—including her parents.

As she stands on a bridge above train tracks, Fuuko is touched by a strange man, causing the footing underneath him to break and dropping him in front of an oncoming train. However, when Fuuko finds the man's corpse, she discovers that his body is regenerating and that he is coming back to life.

The man, whom Fuuko names Andy, is immortal—and like her, he also wishes for death. Initially dismissive, Fuuko eventually decides to team up with Andy to give him the best death possible; but a mysterious organization lurks in the shadows, hoping to take advantage of the duo's bizarre abilities.
We see two different scenes to start the story. In one scene, a couple goes their different ways in a world after the end of the world. In the other scene, a little girl waves goodbye as a plane ready to take off. This is the romantic moment. They have to find their way back to each other, but they have to quickly embrace because bad things are about to happen in the other scene. The little girl watches as it starts to snow, but she feels terrible when the thing she was waving at catches fire and blows up right in front of her eyes. Then we meet Isumo. She has just finished reading a romance comic and says she wishes her childhood had been more like the story. She read. When she's done with the manga, she lets out a sigh of satisfaction. Now she can end herself. As she stands there, a man with muscles that could double his speed bumps calls out to her and makes it clear that she should not be there. She tells him that all she ever wanted was a fierce love story like the one in her manga, but that will never happen because of a problem with her body. That's why she chose to die. The girl is being very emotional and tells the guy not to mess with her, but he doesn't seem to care at all. She continues her threat by saying that anyone who touches her will get a disease that can't be cured and die. The huge man with huge muscles just listens calmly. She says again that she has nothing good to live for with a body like hers because the mental pain she feels makes her want to die. To close her eyes, but the walking mass of muscles just walks off into the night, which is what she was telling him. The man grabs her head, and she has no idea what's going on. She thinks she may have stabbed him. However, he has never heard of a disease that can be spread
