Red Dead Redemption on Switch is a remastered port of the original version. The biggest draw of this version is the improved resolution and greater stability over the PS3/360 version.
PS5 runs the PS4 version via backward compatibility. Xbox Series S/X runs the Xbox 360 version via enhanced backward compatibility.
PS5 inherits the PS4 Pro enhancements, achieving a maximum resolution of 2160p. Xbox Series X is able to handle the same resolution thanks to enhanced backward compatibility.
Because PS5 uses a more updated version, we can see some improvements over the Xbox version, such as higher filtering and shadow resolution or lower loading times.
The Playstation version also includes the possibility to enable AMD FSR.
All versions remain locked at 30fps.
Switch's Handheld mode decreases rendering resolution, shadows and anisotropic filtering.
In any case, the differences between versions are minimal. It has merit the great job Microsoft did with the improved backward compatibility.
