Reboots are like Onions...they have many layers. This week it was reported that the beloved SHREK franchise was getting somewhat Scrapped and rebooted by the animation team over at Illumination Entertainment. While it's certainly exciting to have more Shrek films in the near future...there is a part of me that's sad to see the franchise shift and change. Granted, the last two installments of the Shrek series had gotten stale and were pretty unforgettable. But a part of me was always hoping for a Shrek 5 to get the franchise back on track...but maybe Illumination will do the trick...
In today’s episode of Scrapped I’ll talk about what Illumination Entertainment could bring to the table for this Shrek Reboot and also open the discussion about reboots in Hollywood.
