Dragon was a marine working under the world government, but left it many years ago due to him realizing that the organization was void of any true Justice. This video contains minor spoilers for chapter 1097. You see for many years now many including myself, believed Dragon was a former marine with the world government, but it wasn’t until this weeks chapter that it was actually confirmed to be true, the insurgent serpent, other wise known as monkey d dragon, was a former marine and now leader of the revolutionary army. In this chapter we see both him and iva arrive in the sorbet kingdom, and help the kingdom's people to overthrow its king. Among the kingdom's people are Jinny and Kuma. both of whom joined the army shortly after these events.. It's also revealed that Iva has the same ideology as a certain sun god. The sun god Nika. They dream of liberating all who are suffering under the world government's control. Meaning Dragon’s army processes both the ideology and hands needed for the world's liberation.
