OpenRC is a dependency-based init system for Unix-like computer operating systems. It was created by Roy Marples, a NetBSD developer who was also active in the Gentoo project. It became more broadly adopted as an init system outside of Gentoo following the decision by some Linux distributions not to adopt systemd.

Artix lives up to the moniker "The Art of Linux"
I have had very few surprises working in Artix. A most useful SysD free OS.
They provide some useful utilities and software choices. Calamares install easy as any other system.
While I may not give Artix a permanent place in my array of PCs, I will keep it in mind & install in a vm maybe a couple of the init systems offered just to keep informed and up to date with Artix. Dang pleasure to use AND it provides some very nice branded wallpapers.
It would seem that some actual desktop users are at the very least involved in keeping and updating their OS. Making it a very useful alternative system.
Thanks for watching & I hope I provided enough of a view of Artix to persuade you to try Artix.
Thanks, Archin' on...
