The first long-term lifespan study in mice involving supplementation with NMN, a precursor of NAD+ metabolism, which has been shown to reduce aging markers. Thanks for watching, and please fund our Lifespan.io campaign today!

Recently at the David Sinclair lab at Harvard Medical, we found that administering NMN (Nicotinamide) to mice for just one week led to a robust correction in age-associated metabolic dysfunction (Cell 2013), restoring muscle function to levels seen in younger control mice.

Treatment regimens of greater than one week are needed to further evaluate the whole organism effect, and thus we propose to conduct a long-term longevity study using NMN in the drinking water of control laboratory mice and a novel model of accelerated aging mice known as the ICE mouse (Induced change in Epigenetics).

Success in this project will pave the way for human clinical trials to evaluate the effect of NMN in reversing aging in humans, so please help us accelerate this research.
