Dubbing (also known as doubling, or double tracking) is the process of recording 2 (or more) vocals that are exactly identical to each other. Notice I said RECORDING, and not DUPLICATING! Duplicating the vocals will not give you the right effect because the vocals are identical, and when shifted, it will give a delayed effect, or phaze effect, depending on how far you adjust the vocals position wise.
