In today’s video I wanted to see how far you can take one sample on the SP-404 mkII. A few days ago I found a short synth sample I had recorded into the SP ages ago and forgotten about. From that little sample I made about 6 different sounds, ranging from arpeggios to pads. I then wanted some subby low end and percussion so I sampled in some 808 and percussion sounds and turned it into a dreamlike lofi vibe.
The final track isnt exactly what I originally imagined, but working in this method helped me understand the 404 even better.
