create vm for checkpoint gateway on Hyper-V:
click the new virtual machine
name it
choose generation 1. the cp doesn't work for me on gen2
assign minimum 2G ram for gateway or 4G for management server. for the installation progress use 5G minimum
connect first to the default vswitch for manageing the cp
configure the HD. verify the correct folder location and change for 444G. the hyper-v dynamicly allocate the size anyway
choose the iso file for R81.10 installation
finish and wait
edit the settings
change to 2 cpu - minimum requirement
disable automatic snapshots to save time and disk space
add private interface for vmnet1,2,and www
and external interface for internet access
press OK to apply the changes
lets review again our gateway configuration
