CAD Model Based Definition with TransMagic
CAD Model Based Definition (MBD) allows acquisition of vital design information from the model itself. TransMagic can read and write Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI) to give you and your customers the data you need to get the job done. When PMI data is read, it is associative to the geometry it is attached to, so it is easy to tell where the data belongs.
TransMagic can even write the data to neutral formats such as STEP and IGES by implementing graphical PMI. Assembly and PMI data can also be extracted to XML for use in costing or parts list management.
