Are Some People Pausing Their Medication for the Holidays?
Caley Svensson says she lost 90 pounds on Mounjaro, a drug designed to treat diabetes but also used by many people to lose weight. However, she says she's pausing her medication for two weeks to afford Christmas presents. “I really don't encourage people to just stop these medications cold turkey” says weight-loss specialist Dr. Alexandra Sowa. “It takes a long time to get up to the right dose if you just stop it and restart it, you might become very very sick.”
