Diese Band ist vieles, aber nicht Standard. Mit ihrem 2018 erschienenen zweiten Album REX konnten die Tübinger um die Fronterdoppelspitze Tim Strouken und Carolin Saia bereits Fans wie Kritiker überzeugen. Aufgetischt werden deftiger Metal, bitterzarte Melodien und eine ordentliche Prise Wahnsinn. Und es wird nicht ruhig um die sieben düster-Narren: Schon am 10. Januar 2020 – nicht mal eineinhalb Jahre nach dem Release von REX – erscheint das neue Mini-Album Contracult. Unter anderem findet sich darauf ein Featuring mit COPPELIUS-Klarinettist LE COMTE CASPAR sowie sechs weitere Tracks zwischen sanfter Melancholie und beinhartem, modernem Todesstahl.
(EN): No matter if metal festival or gothic show - Circus of Fools regularly leave open mouths, circling heads, moshing masses and... a polonaise? This band is a lot, but not standard. With their second album REX, released in 2018, the band from Tübingen (Germany) around the fronter double leader Tim Strouken and Carolin Saia could already convince fans and critics. The menu includes solid metal, bitter melodies and a good pinch of madness. And it won't be quiet around the seven dark fools: Already on 10 January 2020 - not even one and a half years after the release of REX - the new mini album Contracult will be released. Among other things, it features a Featuring with COPPELIUS clarinetist LE COMTE CASPAR as well as six other tracks between soft melancholy and leg-hard, modern death steel.
