The audience during Elton’s Chicago stop on ‘The Diving Board’ tour was treated to this deep cut from the ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ album. Elton and the band, which in 2013 included the 2Cellos and four backing vocalists, took the rambunctious song through all its dips and curves, with some stellar piano playing prominently featured. ‘All The Girls Love Alice’ was recorded on May 8, 1973 in France and has been a mainstay in Elton’s set list since 2013, including his current ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour’.
