These are the top stories for today's Konkani Prime Bulletin:-

1- The 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) commenced with a grand opening ceremony at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Panaji, Goa. The 54th edition of IFFI will held from November 20 to November 28. More than 270 films will being showcased across various sections of the festival.

2- The XVIII Exposition of the Sacred Relics of “Goycho Saib” will begin on 21 November 2024, Thursday, and will end on 05 January 2025, Sunday.
Around 8 million pilgrims and devotees are expected to take part in this spiritual experience.
The relics are being prepared to be moved from the Basilica of Bom Jesus to Se Cathedral in Old Goa. The casket if St Francis Xavier is brought down in a private ceremony before being taken to Se Cathedral

3- Ahead of the Exposition of the relics of St. Francis Xavier, Goa Police have beefed up security arrangements in Old Goa. The 45-days event will commence from tomorrow, November 21 and will run until January 05, 2025.
Addressing media persons, SP North Akshat Kaushal said that police are ramping up security measures to ensure a safe and incident-free event.
Close to 1,500 police personnel would be deployed throughout the Exposition in shift manner while 400 CCTVs have been installed to keep a close watch.

4- In the PIL opposing Sunburn EDM at Dhargalim, Goa government has submitted before High Court that so far no venue permission has been granted to organize Sunburn EDM. The HC has adjourned hearing for 9th December.

5- Vasco excise dept seizes 2 abandoned trucks loaded with Indian-made foreign liquor worth Rs 1.5 core

6- Woman associated with an NGO, working for the welfare of senior citizens in Curchorem, has allegedly duped several senior citizens, many of whom were patients, to the tune of crores of rupees. The accused is alleged to have misused the trust of her victims by accessing their SIM cards, withdrawing cash from their fixed deposits, and even stealing gold jewellery from their bank lockers.
