This is where Amanda died. She still has a bedroom to this day.
Amanda’s last night:
WHY TALKING IS IMPORTANT - Here on my Facebook, I usually keep things pretty open. After Amanda died, I tried to keep my social media private but it didn't work. I know that many of you read openly and comment while others read privately and don't comment.
Six years ago tonight around this time (10:50 pm), Amanda came bouncing downstairs. She came down for juice, her meds and her vitamins (for her sniffles). She was off of school because she wasn't feeling well. When she came down stairs to the kitchen, she also wanted to talk abit.
She told me that she didn't like how she was treated by this one boy but she would get over him. She told me that she didn't like to be treated like sh*t by others. She told me that she would get over that too. And that she was strong. She then kissed me goodnight and went to bed. What I didn't know was that this would be the final night of her life. When she went to bed, she had lots of HOPE!
Where the crap did that HOPE go overnight?? WHAT IF ... we had talked longer?
WHAT IF ... I had asked her more questions?
WHAT IF .... This is why it is so important for this legacy and cause to continue and I can't do it myself. October 10th is Amanda's death date, World Mental Health Day and Light Up Purple for Mental Health. xoxo
