Elastic Network Adapter (ENA), the next generation network interface which is capable to provide Enhanced Networking on EC2 instances. This custom network interface deliver high throughput ,performance, and consistently low latencies on EC2 instances.
To gain maximum network throughput from the ENA supported EC2 instance, ENA driver must be loaded in the system, along with enable of the enhanced networking at the instance level.
ENA driver is not included in the RHEL 6.X and 7.[1-3] ,due to which a end user can't use enhanced networking capabilities. In this tutorial we have discussed workaround , if you want to enable ENA on RHEL 6 or 7.
Please Note - Red hat not support ENA driver. Please consider support restrictions.
