Write Long English Sentences (Part 2): Compound Sentences (Sentence Writing Class with Alisha)
This video is part 2 of 4 of the Sentence Structure series. The focus of this episode is the compound sentence. This video reviews independent clauses (from part one of this series), coordinating conjunctions, a use of semicolons, and some guidelines for punctuating compound sentences. Compound sentences are the next step up from simple sentences, and we can use them to create a certain kind of rhythm to our writing. This short writing class introduces a variety of ways we can use compound sentences (and a variety of ways to write long sentences)!
