In this tutorial I will show you you how to create a bootable USB Flash Drive to install OSX

Make sure you obtain the MacOS install files first either by going to the App Store or, you can download them here:

High Sierra: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos...

Mojave: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos...

Once you find the installer under launchpad or applications, check the size by right clicking the MacOS installer and selecting GetInfo.

If it shows over 5GB, then jump to the 4:40 mark on my video. If not, you can follow the entire video.

Here are the commands for Terminal to create the usb flash driver installer for MacOS per operating system:

Mojave:

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Mojave.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume

High Sierra:

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume

Sierra:

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app

El Capitan:

sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app

Make sure you replace "MyVolume" with the name of your usb flash drive.
