Power Devices and Parts from Texas Instruments:
Managers are looking for the PCB design software that also includes part simulation. In this video I show the many ways you can find power devices and parts that already come pre-installed in Cadence OrCAD Capture or Allegro Design Entry HDL.
You can get parts from Infineon, International Rectifier, Texas Instruments and even any other manufacturer using the installed libraries and using the Part Search providers feature found in OrCAD 17.4.
It's a very powerful feature, because it allows you to find parts form all over the world, mainly on Mouser and Digi-Key, then place the schematic symbol, footprint and 3D step model for those parts on your schematic directly.

This method is better than going the long route of using LTSpice to simulate your circuit first, then go all the way to a different environment just to rebuild the same circuit. You can build the schematic circuit once, with footprints and all, plus the SPICE models included, then simulate the schematic, then not have to do twice the work, because it's all in one place.
The Cadence OrCAD ecosystem is definitely optimized to include everything in one place, even down to the data sheets and part URLs.
If you haven't tried Cadence OrCAD yet, considering getting it. The standard license might still be on sale and allow you get a perpetual license. You can also get the professional license, which is best for PCB design professionals.
