I dunno why, but I really love Kracko. I'm actually really surprised that this is my first art video on YouTube with him in it, seeing as I draw him a lot - especially my gijinka! I've even cosplayed him.
The first thing I came up with when I was drawing this was the composition, which is pretty unusual for me. It started as a little doodle in my sketchbook while I was watching my classmates rehearse for our school's production of Little Shop of Horrors (I'm very excited for that, by the way... I'm the understudy for Audrey II), meaning that this drawing has four sketches (thumbnail on paper, very rough sketch on computer, a bit more of a refined sketch, and the final sketch that you see me do in this video)! Whew, that was a lot of the word "sketch".
I'm definitely not drawing as often as I used to nowadays, and I think that's because I used to use art as a way to keep myself sane while I was dealing with the struggles of school, but now that I'm taking classes I love in college, I've started to feel like maybe I've found a new calling. Either way, I still love seeing the results of my hard work when it comes to art, even though I don't quite enjoy it as much as I used to.
