In this quick tutorial, we're going to set up Xiaomi's gateway as a home security alarm. You will need to have any of the sensors from the Mi Home Ecosystem installed to function as the trigger for this alarm. You could set up multiple triggers for the alarm, like door- and motion- sensors.

It's quite a versatile system that allows you to easily set up an affordable home security setup with many possibilities. A new, and very cool, feature is that you could also ring the alarm on multiple gateway units if you have more than one Gateway installed.

There is too much about this Gateway to cover in a single video, so I'm making a whole playlist with installation and setup videos for this gateway.
