Even though either Deluge or Force would be sufficient for this task, Dividing them up in this way provides value: Workflow of initial recording drums goes fast on Deluge and Melodics on Force provides more Scale modes and velocity.
Then, live play is also more tactile as beats can be launched separately from melodic parts. It would be easier to just launch one nice scene and be done with it, but that's too easy and mixing up the beats like this is exciting and 'live'.
Another example, which I'm not practiced enough yet to do, is one hand could be manipulating the drum parts while the other is playing melodic lines... even if both Deluge and Force could handle these things, doing both at the same time is impossible. So this is one of the ultimate reasons for building up such a set-up.
