How To Get YOUR Music On SPOTIFY in 2020!

So you just finished some new tunes and you're ready for the world to hear it?! It's time to distribute! One of the leaders in streaming music is Spotify! So why not get your new music on there? Don't know how? Well it's easier than you might think!

First things first! You need to find who is going to distribute your music. Don’t worry, it’s very easy. In fact a simple good search could yield you the results you want. From my experience the 3 most popular are Tunecore, Distrokid and CD Baby. They all are easy and great to work with. They are also very similar in a lot of ways. I’d suggest doing some surface level research before picking who you want to go through. I, myself currently use Tunecore.

The beauty of working with these (and other) online distributors, is you can send your song to a lot more online services than just Spotify. I highly recommend sending your music to all of the available stores. Even if you’ve never heard of the store, or don’t think you’ll get much in return…. Many drips can add up to be a lot in the end.

ARTWORK! Don’t forget to have some decent artwork ready to upload while submitting/uploading your music! If you’re not a graphic designer, find a family member or friend! And if you’re still striking out after that, try fiverr.com. You’ll be able to find a freelancer who can put something together for you quickly and cheaply!

Promote your music! Once you’ve uploaded your music and artwork, now is the time to promote your new masterpiece! Make Instagram posts, IG and FB stories, Tweets, all of the above! And make sure to pump it hard on the release day! You’ll be surprised how much that might bump your first few days of the releases.
