Video: video is about genshin 4.0 fontaine, and the new hydro traveler kit that might have been revealed during the genshin 3.8 livestream as they showed the fontaine trailer and fontaine preview teaser for the genshin 4.0 patch. Here they have shown numerous fontaine features, and we can see some hydro traveler gameplay as well as hydro traveler potential kit information.
Transcript: What is goody gang, so today I am going to be talking about how hoyo might have accidentally revealed some of the hydro travelers kit already with the genshin 3.8 livestream that just recently happened. So in the genshin 3.8 livestream hoyo showed us numerous stuff including our first looks into Fontaine and there were some hidden details in there. Well we can first see how the traveler looks with the hydro vision on so there’s that which isn’t anything special but still cool to see. I heard that many are upset that Fontaine doesn’t look like that dark and gloomy steampunk type area that everyone thought it to be, but let me know what you think of it in the comments below. So if we skip towards the end of the trailer where they show the underwater diving, we can see that the traveler is doing a few different things here. We can first see some sort of ability to catch fish underwater, but I do not think this is limited to the traveler but more so just an ability you get when you go diving. However if we skip to a little bit after that, it seems that the traveler is fighting some type of enemy, and a shield is created after he kills it. He then swims away with the shield still there and so this is why I am very inclined to believe that this is part of the travelers kit. At Least to me, it doesn’t make sense for you to get a shield in the water after killing something, but maybe it could just be some oxygen system. For example, killing or capturing something in the water gives you a bubble where you can breathe normally for a duration and then you have to kill or capture again before a set time so you don’t drown. However I feel like that would be super annoying and I think this can be a part of the travelers kit in some way, assuming this could be his elemental ability. What this would mean though Is that the traveler would be the first hydro shield, and I really think they would do something like this looking at previous trends. We can see that Dendro traveler was very useful and actually an insane unit, so I feel like they would only make the next ones better as the traveler gains more “experience”. A hydro shielder would incentivize using him as well and I think this also means hydro traveler could scale off of HP as most shields do. If that’s the case it goes with the idea of the traveler kit being a watered down version of the archon as many people have ideas she will be HP scaling since a lot of hydro characters are. If that’s the case though I think the hydro traveler can actually be some defensive unit but I don’t think will do anything additional. For example the elemental skill could just be a strike of hydro followed by a shield, and no additional features to that. As per the burst there wasn’t really anything shown in the trailer that can hint at anything but maybe he can provide some defensive buffs or just overall buffs to the team.
