In this video, we'll show you how to clean the J3 (Diagnostics) Port of the EEC-V PCM used in the 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel.
This process is critical to the successful installation of any plug-in chip, including the Hydra. Failure to properly clean the PCM before installing the chip can result in permanent failure of the chip and/or the PCM. Please take your time when cleaning the PCM and make sure that ALL the silicone is removed from the surface of the contacts as well as in between each contact.
As you can see, it only take a couple minutes to properly clean the PCM. I've done literally thousands of these over the last 20 years so it takes me no time at all, but even a novice who is being extremely careful should be able to have the connector cleaned in under 10 minutes.
I hope everyone finds this video helpful. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact us at gopowerhungry.com or by phone at (678) 890-1110.
