You need VRM heatsink on A620 AM5 Motherboard! the ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2+ Review
After long awaiting the A620 chipset motherboard to arrive, I finally got it and tested it with the AMD Ryzen 9 7900 and I must say I'm satisfied with it, though there is a catch.
While the A620 motherboards are generally nice, I highly recommend going with models with VRM heatsink as I found out running without VRM heatsink could potentially lead to throttling. In this case I rapidly heat up the VRM using the Ryzen 9 7900 with Cinebench R23.
You will most likely have no issue going without VRM heatsink by using Ryzen 5 7600 and leave it strictly to gaming workload but personally I'd rather pay a bit more for an A620 board with VRM heatsink.
