How to Use RowCommand Buttons in WebForms
In this episode, we continue our exploration of WebForms, a powerful, easy to learn framework for building data applications for the cloud, using Visual Basic in a familiar desigm pattern for those who currently work with tools like Microsoft Access or VB6. Specifically, we'll show how to use the powerful RowCommand event to power different kinds of buttons in an on-screen GridView list. In previous episodes, we used the built-in Select command type to get data ready for review and updating. In this episode, we'll create custom buttons with their own code to do things like delete, send notification SMS messages, or other purposes. Let's add RowCommand to our project and deploy our solution in the Azure cloud for all of our users!
