The Royal Hawaiian was the signature cocktail at the well known Waikiki resort of the same name, the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It's a tiki-esque cocktail with the unusual inclusion of gin. First created in the 1920s and it was originally name Princess Kaiulani. It was in the 1950s when it was renamed to the hotel's namesake cocktail. The hotel has since changed it's signature cocktail to the better known Mai Tai.
