What Forbidden Teachings Did Count Dooku Impart Upon Qui Gon Jinn?
By the age of ten, Qui Gon Jinn had already distinguished himself as one of the most promising students at the Jedi Academy. His exceptional skills caught the attention of Dooku, who secretly harboured ambitions of surpassing even Yoda in power and respect by mentoring such a gifted apprentice. Dooku encouraged Qui-Gon to question everything, including the doctrines of the Jedi High Council, telling him to sever all personal ties to make betrayal impossible, an individualistic interpretation of the Jedi Code that was highly unorthodox. Although Qui Gon would reject these teachings, under Dooku's influence, Qui-Gon developed a deep interest in prophecy, a teaching that was highly discouraged by the High Council. This caution stemmed from an ancient incident where several Jedi Masters tragically killed their Padawans due to misinterpreted Force visions. Nevertheless, Qui Gon continued his explorations, resulting in him finding the Chosen One.
