China responds to Biden calling Xi Jinping a 'dictator'
Joe Biden saying the Chinese president, Xi Jinping, is a dictator was 'extremely incorrect and irresponsible political manipulation', a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Thursday. Biden was questioned whether he still held the view at a news conference after four hours of talks with Xi on the outskirts of San Francisco. 'Look, he is. He’s a dictator in the sense that he’s a guy who runs a country that is a communist country that’s based on a form of government totally different than ours,' Biden replied.
