Microsoft needs to pull their act together. Here is what I don't like about Flexible Virtualization, the way it's described in Product Terms.

Microsoft has software and online services. And flexible virtualization is in the Universal Licensing Terms for Software.

Guess where Microsoft 365 applications are? In Online Services. Now, guess where CSP subscriptions are? In Online Services. So does Flexible Virtualization actually apply to those products?

Yes, there is a guide that says so.

But I can easily imagine a few months from now, a client crying crocodile tears because a representative of Microsoft – and don't get me started on Microsoft knowing their own terms of licensing – told her that she could not take certain licenses to a third party provider. And if they go to the Microsoft licensing group, guess what side that group will take?
