~ This was my first time discovering unschooling and it has been such a rewarding experience.
~ To me the big one was that Open Learning is possible and effective : to discover this was everything to me.

In year 2007, when we started our journey of open learning / unschooling our 9 year old daughter, Asawari (she is 24 now) First, we thought there were no other families doing this - but to our surprise we found many - though spread across the country.
Then we realized that there is no network or support system or much sharing and that is when we thought it would be wonderful to form a community of families - so we started Aarohi. Since then Aarohi has been blessed with so many families and children - from each we have learned and through each we have found ourselves stronger.
OPEN LEARNING meet up at Aarohi campus is just one of the offerings from the Aarohi Community.
Meet-up is specifically hosted for families who are considering alternate avenues of learning, You meet more families (specially some Aarohi families / Children) who are doing Open Learning, UnSchooling, HomeSchooling.
WHO ARE WE
Aarohi is an open learning community of children, parents, and resource people - all connecting, collaborating, and coaching each other, everybody learning based on one's interests and needs. Aarohi’s vision is to offer an environment and process that empowers children to learn what they want, and how they want, it by deciding, doing, and reflecting. Self-assessment, self-reflection, sharing and collaboration are some of the tools that help us grow as individuals and as a community.
