Transcript: What is goody gang, so today I am going to be talking about why not to skip Kokomi for the hydro archon as an F2P player. So there are actually many reasons why I advise against this, but especially for F2P players I think skipping Kokomi is an absolutely huge mistake. However I want to preface with these videos that at the end of the day you should pull for who you want to pull for since it’s just a game and there isn’t any definitive end game content besides abyss. These characters will always rerun even if you do miss them so it isn’t the biggest deal but this is just a guide comparing the two. Well to begin with Kokomi and the hydro archon I wouldn’t skip them because they can have completely different roles. We know as of now Kokomi is an off field hydro applicator and healer, but we don’t know what the hydro archon is. We know Kokomi can fit into many slots in teams with application and healing, but we don’t know if the hydro archon can replace Kokomi in those teams or just create new teams or play styles. Now moving on to the next point is that Kokomi is insanely versatile and important in todays meta. Meta today consists of Dendro based reactions and especially hyperbloom or super bloom, which Kokomi is amazing at. Especially with super bloom, she provides the healing so you can be healed every time you get hit by the cores, and just overall your getting constant hydro application off field resulting in more blooms created. However she isn’t just good for Dendro as she’s actually insane in freeze teams as well, making her a very versatile character. In todays meta hydro application is insanely important and the fact Kokomi can do that while she heals the team makes her worth pulling. Now the next reason why I wouldn’t skip Kokomi for the hydro archon is that we can most likely comfortably get both characters. To elaborate, assuming we get Kokomi in the phase 2 banners meaning we start 4.0 with 0 pity. We can probably expect around 80 pulls in 4.0 and around 70-80 pulls again in 4.1, giving us 150-160 pulls, which is pretty comfortable amount to get hydro archon in what I’m assuming is 4.2 because of Nahida in 3.2. Even if you do not get the hydro archon in 4.2 however, she is going to get a rerun much sooner than Kokomi does which is why I advise against skipping Kokomi. With new archons they usually rerun them 4 patches after their debut, whereas we can wait even a year for regular five scar characters to rerun. So even if you miss the hydro archon in 4.2 you can easily get her in 4.6 which would only be a few months away. So to summarize I would not reccomend skipping Kokomi considering she could have different roles than hydro archon. She also is insanely versatile and since she does hydro application while healing off field she’s insanely valuable in todays meta. On top of that since archon reruns are much sooner you can easily get hydro archon in a few months where you would have to wait a year to get kokomi again.
