The founder and former CEO of Papa John's has resigned as chairman of the global pizza giant after admitting to using the N-word in a company conference call. The call was to discuss a strategy to prevent further controversy for the pizza chain, following the outrage and boycott of the company when Schnatter blasted NFL leadership over players' national anthem protests last year. Schnatter has previously stirred controversy in his opposition to Obamacare and donated to Trump's presidential campaign. According to Business Insider, Schnatter admitted he made the remarks.
