Day/Night Detection using Arduino and PictoBlox | Day Night Arduino | Arduino Tutorial | PictoBlox
Hi, Welcome to our channel scratch programming projects for kids.
About this video:
Today we are going to make an intersting project, which is the day and night detection project using PictoBlox.Pictoblox is a scratch based platform. The hardware we are going to use is Elegoo Arduino Mega starter kit. In this project, An LED is going to turn on when it's dark and its going to turn off when there is light.
The components that we are going to use are :
1. Elegoo Arduino Mega microcontroller.
2. A photocell - The photocell which is used is of the type light dependent resistor, sometimes called an LDR. As the name suggests, this component acts just like a resistor, except that the resistance changes in response to how much light is falling on them. The greater the light falling on an LDR, the lesser the resistance offered. So according to the Ohm's Law,which is current= voltage / resistence. The lesser the resistance, the greater is the current in the circuit.
3. An LED
4. 1 Kilo ohm resistor
5. Some Jumper wires
6. A breadboard to connect all the above components into a circuit
7. A USB cable to connect Arduino with the laptop
Thanks.
