True story 🙂 *Disclaimer: I did not cross-check with actual feng shui rules; this was just what my mom said 😬

☯️ For those unfamiliar with feng shui, it is a "practice of arranging the pieces in living spaces to create balance with the natural world". Though my mom doesn't really practice/believe in feng shui, she still says and pays attention to these kind of things. 😅

Another example is that placing a clock where the direction of the clock hands turn towards the door means the blessings will also go out of the house. Or having a house facing a certain direction to bring better luck. 👀

Anyway, though attic rooms (Dachgeschosszimmer) are common in Germany, they are not at all common in Indonesia. It was also really strange for me to stay in a room with slanted walls at first, but I got used to it. 🏠

My mom probably did to, proven by her deep sleeps here in cold Germany, all snuggled up in her lontong layers 😌💤
