Recorded as part of the Atmospheres, Oceans, Earths -- Unifying perspectives on geophysical and environmental multiphase flows (#multiphase-c22) conference at KITP on October 31 - November 3, 2022 in Santa Barbara, CA.
Progress achieved via field observations, laboratory experiments, numerical simulations and theoretical approaches has led to significant advances in our understanding of geophysical and environmental fluid flows involving bubbles, drops and particles. This conference intends to bring together researchers whose primary expertise lies in the physics of particle- and droplet-laden flows in the geosciences to discuss common approaches to understanding the multi-scale and multi-physics nature of the multiphase geophysical flows across problems ranging from the dynamics of clouds to the transport of granular material over complex and erodible surfaces.
