Robinhood Crypto seemed like a convenient way to buy and sell, but after nine years of using the platform, I’m done. Out of nowhere, I received a notification claiming my account had “fallen victim to a scam.” The problem? There was no suspicious activity, no missing funds—just a vague alert that made no sense. Then, a day later, Robinhood lifted the restriction without explanation. Confused and concerned, I reached out to support, only to be met with generic, scripted responses refusing to provide details.

What made this even sketchier was the timing. Just a day before my account was flagged, the Wall Street Journal reported that Robinhood was paying a $45 million SEC settlement for failing to protect customer data. Was my account caught up in something bigger? Robinhood never gave me a straight answer, and weeks later, they suddenly changed their story—now claiming I violated their terms of service instead. Still, no proof, no clear reason, and complete disregard for my trust.

At this point, I realized the real issue: if Robinhood can freeze my funds without warning, refuse to explain why, and change their reasoning whenever they want, I can’t trust them with my money. That was the final straw. I withdrew my crypto, moved my funds to safer platforms, and decided I was done with Robinhood Crypto for good.
