How to Create a Self-Serve Data Mesh Platform with Keynote
We are at a crucial point where the complexity of business and its ambitious data-driven goals, combined with the volatility and unpredictability of markets, necessitates us to find a new approach to managing data. The traditional centralized analytical data management architectures such as Data Warehouse may no longer be enough for us to reach higher levels in today's realities.
Data Mesh is an alternative sociotechnical approach to managing analytical data which follows this inflection point. It is designed to help organizations gain value from data at scale with agility and flexibility, even as their organization grows and becomes more complex. This approach changes our data culture, technology, and architecture: from centralized collection and ownership of data to domain-oriented connection and ownership; from viewing data as an asset to seeing it as a product; from using proprietary big platforms to having an ecosystem of self-serve data infrastructure with open protocols; from top-down manual data governance to federated computational governance.
