The Anker Powerstation is a portable battery that costs $259.99, that has a 256Wh battery. That's over 20 times more capacity than your typical smartphone. That being said, the Power Station 521 has a bunch of really useful ports, a car socket with a cover, 2 power outlets, a usb c and 2 usb 3 ports. It charges through the provided cable or car adapter and plug in through the back. You can also charge the Power station faster by plugging in via the back dc input and the There's also a nice and bright warm white light bar that you can toggle with a press of a button for emergencies. There's also a display that tells you what is being used, your battery percentage, and your estimated battery life left in hours, based on how you're using the power station. There's buttons to turn on and off the car socket and power outlets to help you conserve battery when not using them. The body itself is made out of hard durable plastics, with a handle bar to help you practice your dumbell workouts, and well, also makes what is basically a massive battery bank, easier to carry. While it is bigger than a regular battery bank, it has a lot more stored inside, can charge a lot more devices at once, and is still easy enough to move around or transport.
Let's talk about that Texas winter storm power outage. Something like the Anker Powerstation 521 would have come in clutch. The tempeture was freezing and the power was out for a few days and I was struggling with keeping my devices charged fully and it gets pretty boring when there's no electricity. I would have loved to be able to keep my devices charged at least. I was using portable lights to see in the dark, and playing my nintendo switch to pass the time. But of course, battery banks can only last so long and I quickly ran out of juice. So since the winter storm, I've been searching for a device like this that would provide me enough power to keep my devices charged in case of an emergency like another winter storm or a hurricane and you can even purchase solar panels with dc output to charge the powerstation during emergencies, providing you with a constant stream of power to use devices that could help you handle natural disasters without having to rely on a gas generator. But emergencies are not the only use case for the PowerStation. It's also useful for situations like a road trip, where you might need to charge larger devices like your laptop that regular battery banks would charge too slow, provide too little charge, or not at all. As a YouTuber, I go outside to record from time to time, and the Anker Powerstation can provide power as a portable recharging station. If I'm running low on battery I can quickly charge all of my portable lights, cameras, batteries and displays even when I'm not near a wall outlet. I'm also a huge fan of taking home console gaming on taking it on the go. And the Anker powerstation, combined with a Anker Nebula projector gives you a portable gaming experience that could be taken with you anywhere including areas where there's no power outlets and gives you a nice outdoor gaming experience. And lastly, one of the uses I see for this thing, is camping where you have to ration your usage of power. The Anker powerstation gives you power in situations that you normally wouldn't have access to much. You could use it to power appliances while camping that you might want to use that you normally don't have access to like a blender, electric kettle, or bluetooth speaker.
So, in summary the Anker PowerStation 521 provides a wall outlet in environments that one would not be available. It can be used to keep your items charged on the go for road trips, provide power to your appliances for camping, and be used for emergencies like natural disasters or a power outage. and has different type of ports that can all be used at the same time. But enough about the product. What do you personally thing? Do you see a use for a product like this? What use cases could you see yourself using this for? Is it one of the use cases I mentioned in this video? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below, I'd love to hear them and if you enjoyed this video or found it useful, give it a thumbs up and well, don't forget to subscribe. I'll see you all next time. Bye.
