SPORTIVO Event at SNIS
“Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose, it teaches you about life”
Sports are an integral part of a school curriculum and at SNIS we perceive sports as Trans disciplinary in nature, interwoven with our curriculum.
The first edition of Sportivo, an interschool sports meet, the flagship sports event of SNIS, took place on the 29th and 30th of October 2018. Over 10 schools competed in various sports including basketball, football, badminton, tennis, table tennis and throw ball. The SNIS PE Department, with their vision and hard work, made it a memorable event.
Mike Singletary, a famous football coach once said, “Do you know what my favourite part of the game is? The opportunity to play”.
For the very first opportunity, to participate in an interschool sports meet, many of SNIS’s student surpassed expectations.
The participants exhibited a splendid show of coordination, team spirit and sportsmanship. It was an exciting day for SNIS as several SNIS students won trophies and medals.
