create vm for checkpoint management server on Hyper-V
• Checkpoint R81.10
create virtual machine for checkpoint management server
first we will configure the folder for the vm's and for the vhd
then we will create new virtual machine
name it
choose generation 1. the cp doesn't work for me on gen2
assign minimum 4g ram for management and 2g for gateway
connect first to the default vswitch for manageing the cp
configure the HD. verify the correct folder location and change for 444G. the hyper-v dynamicly allocate the size anyway
choose the iso file for R81.10 installation
and finish to apply
edit the vm confiuration
change to 2 cpu - minimum requirement
add external interface for internet access
disable automatic snapshots to save time and disk space
