Evolution of Derivative Computation, Coupled Adjoints, and OpenMDAO
Professor Joaquim Martins, of the MDO lab at the University of Michigan discusses his personal perspective on the evolution of methods to compute analytic derivatives, and how that relates too OpenMDAO. This talk helps to give some perspective on all of the work that came before OpenMDAO and what users can now get for free by adopting the framework.
