Not all calories are the same and once Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) is calculated one can now break down those calories into specific macros. Macros are short for macronutrients, the three main nutrients that make up foods. These include proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Determining specific macronutrient requirements is helpful for clients who want to reach specific goals, whether that be performance or aesthetics.
