How To Use Twitch Disconnect Protection

You know how sometimes your internet isn’t perfect, and it has those little stutters and drop outs? Well, when that happens Twitch sometimes kicks the stream offline, and you need to kick it back online, which splits VoDs and is just a bad user experience…

But there is a solution, if you can’t solve the internet issues, you can at least stop being kicked off Twitch entirely with Disconnect protection, head to Stream Dashboard, Settings, Stream, and turn on Disconnect Protection. Now when you stutter, cut out, or drop out, you’ve got 90 seconds to reconnect, and the users will see a little screen that helps them know you’re coming back!

And bonus, right underneath is Latency mode which changes the delay between you and what your viewers see, if you can handle it internet-wise, low latency mode makes responding to chat much faster, more interactive, and it’s great for community engagement.

How To Turn on Twitch Auto-Moderation

Head to Stream Dashboard, Settings, and click Moderation, here you are going to find a massive set of tools to protect your stream, chat, and community,.

To start, you should block all hyperlinks, found if you scroll down, this prevents scammers from spamming links, and at the top of the Auto Mod tools, you'll find how to prevent certain phrases, or restrict types of spam, this is done by changing the strength of protection, and the category of protection, so if you’re okay with swearing you can leave that light, but make sure you raise slurs, aggression, racial comments, and more to be stricter.

The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like Wild4games and Nutty.
