In this video, I am going to be comparing the sound of the Homepod mini with the 4th Generation Amazon Echo.

It was difficult deciding what's best to compare the Homepod mini against. On one hand, it is similar in size to the Echo Dot, so if you want a smart speaker with a small form factor this would be the best comparison.

But on the other hand, the Homepod minis price is more comparable to the 4th generation Echo. So if you are looking to spend $100 or slightly less the 4th generation echo is the best comparison.

I am going to create a separate video where I compare the Homepod mini to the echo dot and I will leave a link in the description below after it's been uploaded.

Of course, there are other considerations such as if you are already on in the Apple echo system or the music provider you use. But this video is just going to consider the audio quality.

I am using zoom H1n for the test. The volume on both devices will be set to 50% unless I state otherwise. I won’t edit any of the sound that comes out of the devices during the playback.
