Macbook Air M1 Color Grading Test with Dehancer
We ran some real-life tests with our plugin and we were surprised how good the new M1 chip actually is.
We got a new MacBook Air M1 with 8 Gb of Ram and compared it with Macbook Pro mid-2017 i7 with 16 GB of Ram, Radeon 560, and external eGPU Radeon 580.
We ran a 1080 Prores 422 footage with Dehancer OFX plugin with all tools switched on and got the following results:
-Playback: Intel about 12 fps and M1 about 10 fps
-Render to h264: Intel 19 seconds and M1 is 36 seconds.
