Camtasia Black Screen Fix - Updated for 2020
This should fix your camtasia black screen problem. Enjoy!. A Mp4 video I recorded with my Google Pixel kept showing only a BLACK BLANK screen with audio when I imported it into my Camtasia. I spent countless hours searching and installing misc things only to find out there are MULTIPLE TYPES of mp4s. H.264 and H.265. H.265 is newer encoding standard for high quality files (4k etc). The solution is to install the correct HEVC H.265 Codec so Camtasia can render your video.
